Hello everyone, I just want to share this small but very important review about a very bad experience I had with my dog.
Unfortunately, I brought my dog to this place to have his hair trimmed and to get a bath. They did a terrible job. They shaved and trimmed his hair unevenly, and he looked absolutely horrible afterward.
I went back and politely explained that I was not happy with the way they had cut my dog’s hair, but instead of listening to my concerns, they became upset.
The haircut looked careless and unprofessional, almost as if they were playing around with him instead of properly grooming a pet. I felt very bad seeing my poor dog looking like this.
I would definitely not recommend this place for pet grooming. The quality of their work was extremely disappointing. 0/10 — not recommended.
I’m sharing my experience so other pet owners can be aware and think twice before taking their pets there.
Front host and vet nurses were amazing - very sweet and explained their services to me while I filled out some forms.
However my review is based solely on the lack of analysis on behalf of Dr. S.
I see some people have had good experiences here, so I won’t discredit that! Simply I didn’t receive the type of care that was expected. Oh, and for the person who commented “man of few words” you got that right. 🙃
Whilst he seemed nice and was smiling, I couldn’t help but think he had a big hubris and was being a little condescending. We essentially paid $150 for a look-over and left with no real answers, or even a thorough examination of our cats, for an annual check-up. 🙅🏻♀️
This is for whomever wants to read my personal account in detail (and I mean in DETAIL):
When he walked in he asked what I came in for, and since it was our first time going there and having pre-established that we wanted an annual check-up for our two 8- year old cats, he said “oh well I only check what seems important or of concern to you”. Umm, excuse me, what?? He didn’t even walk in with any equipment.
So I listed a series of things that I figured might be worth checking out, such as my cat’s ‘asthma’ attacks, how they eat their food and more-so how they continually throw it up, amongst minor other things. He left and came back with a stethoscope to check one of my cats, said she seemed fine. Proceeds to check my other cats teeth and butt (cuz he do the scoot), and said “looks normal, teeth are healthy”. Looked at his ears, didn’t seem surprised by anything. So then I ask a few questions about longevity - if we wanted to move towards a wet food or raw/ cooked diet for our soon to be senior cats, and he said “DON’T..unless you want to give me all your money because it’s expensive and you will go broke”. Well, that wasn’t the question, it was more-so me asking for advice since I see it everywhere that people do that for their pets, esp once older…but I digress (also who’s to say I don’t have the money 🫣 yikes). I also asked if we should wet the dry food down the road and he also exclaimed no, and that “dry food is meant to be dry food, don’t mess with it”. 😐 No further explanations given.
Overall, he did the bare minimum, and when I say he barely even touched my cats, I mean that. He really just looked at them. 👀
I’ve been to a variety of vets over the years, and each time we get dedicated care and support, including checking their limbs, teeth, claws/paws, urinary/ fecal exams, eyes, nose, ears, signs of bloating and inquiries about their diet and specifically what foods, for how long, and its effects, as well as questions about our day-to-day care, weight and down-the-road steps for recovery or advice on how to improve their lives- all within an annual check-up!
None of that was really discussed here, and I left feeling jaded and scammed out of my money. I thought we would have a discussion, but I really just got A and B answers to my questions, and when I couldn’t come up with other excuses for him to examine my cats, I said “ok I guess that’s it” cuz I didn’t know what else to beg for, like come on! That’s crazy- I shouldn’t have to ask for you to do your job?!
I did ask about services to further diagnose my cat for her asthma- they drafted a huge quote for x-rays. I did end up paying for a calming medication so we could shave her or have someone else do it. They offer it, but I think for the reflection of care this check-up yielded itself as, I’d rather look elsewhere for services and professionalism.
I had high hopes for this place, but I’d rather drive half an hour than 5 minutes down the road with a screaming cat for better care.
Also I’ll attach images of the vet bills and quote for anyone interested in seeing just all of what I paid for.
